Golden temple
The Golden temple is situated in the sacred city Amritsar. The Golden temple is renowned for its full golden vault, it is a standout amongst the most consecrated pioneer place for Sikh religion. The Temple is based on a 67-ft square of marble and is a two storied structure. Maharaja Ranjit Singh had the upper portion of the building worked with around 500 kg of gold . The Golden Temple is encompassed by various different well known temples like the Durgiana Temple which is celebrated Mandir of Hindus. The fourth Guru of Sikhs, Guru Ram Das, who had at first developed a pool here, established Amritsar, which houses the Golden Temple or Harmandir Sahib. It is here that Sage Valmiki composed the epic, Ramayana. Rama and Sita are accepted to have spent their fourteen-year banish in Amritsar, the epicenter of Sikhism.
